☕ - Aria has an unhealthy love of coffee! She drinks much more coffee than water, and she offers to make up "work calls" to get Violet out of class to bring her coffee when Rosita cuts the caffeine budget (mostly because *someone* is draining coffee supplies in days instead of weeks)

✨ - Rhianwyn hates camping out. Part of it is because she likes the finer things in life, but a larger part of it comes from lying awake at night after fleeing their home, and hearing her parents (her father near panicking, and her mother obsessed with revenge) talk about their uncertain futures. Looking at the stars reminds her of those nights, when it seemed like nothing and no one would hear her cry, and she had no choice but to toughen up to protect her little sister from the dangers of the world... including their own mother.

Yeah so. I did something. Aria Bronte, an OC from a WIP called the Villain's Intern by @thewrittenpost Did two styles because I can't decide on one.

Fun fact: I did a bunch of fanart for @thewrittenpost a long time ago. Even wrote a fanfic for them about Aria. But that was on my old blog and I started a new one because I haven't gone on any social media for like four months so yeah. Don't know if they remember me lmao. If you're reading this, @thewrittenpost : I'm back, I've followed you, and I'm ready to stalk your blog again!

She absolutely does! The amount of pink and golds she would pair together is absolutely mindblowing!

For the masquerade ball? Aria would go all out, with a very sparkly, floor-length pink dress, with sleeves that are basically just puffs that hang just off her shoulders. All her accessories would be rose gold -very specifically- with ridiculously high heels in the same color! The mask would be rose gold as well, designed to look like lace, and doesn't serve as a very good mask at all!

Sounds like she’s got her aesthetic and she’s sticking to it!!!

While Aria’s doing her eyeliner in her bedroom in “Reality Bites Me” (1x05), Mike walks on up to the door of her bedroom and asks her how she doesn’t poke her eyeball in regards to the eyeliner, and then he goes on to say; “You only gonna do one eye? Is that a new cyclopes look?” On the duchess behind Aria, there’s some kind of statue. I can’t tell if it’s Greek or Egyptian. At first, I thought the sculpture was Medusa, and then I thought it was Aphrodite. She seems a little Greek inspired with her outfit in this scene based on the color scheme.

A cyclops is a Greek mythological creature that has one eye. Three groups of cyclopes can be distinguished. In Hesiod’s Theogony, they are the brothers: Brontes, Steropes, and Arges, who provided Zeus with his weapon: the thunderbolt.

Aria’s seen sporting a lot of thunderbolt jewelry and clothing throughout the show since this episode. Aria could be Rosewood’s representation of Zeus since she’s heavily connected to the thunderbolt. No one wears it as much as she does.

In Greek, the name Aria means (Lioness), and in Persian, the name Aria is gender-neutral and means (Noble). In Greek mythology, Aria is a woman from Crete who bore a son with Apollo named Miletos. Aria is also the name of a Roman martyr about whom very little is known.

In this scene and through most of the episode, Aria’s wearing a necklace shaped a tiger tooth and has stripes similar to a tiger on it. Aria seems to be going for quite the Greek theme with this outfit, and this small amount of research I did holds some parallels with Aria.

They were playing some French novelty he couldn’t catch a word of, all laced in arias and sword-fighting and passionate affairs; Angelo Bronte, who had insisted he come, had been murmuring something in his ear that he barely was aware of. And then, from the dark height of his velvet booth, his eyes were pierced by the light of a thousand sparkling suns, draped in red, hair let down, open chest liberating a cascade of the loveliest sounds he had ever heard. Suddenly he straightened himself up in his seat and let his entire body and soul be engulfed by the apparition onstage - you, your magnetic aura, the crown of light that the chandeliers projected around your head, and the voice of a foreign angel pulling him in. Suddenly it was like meeting Molly all over again, except he had already forgotten her, and except he loved you madly from that moment on and never doubted it.

And so you became his mistress. It was nothing to be proud of, really; although he did not tell you at first the details of his occupation, you were not naïve, and figured out quickly that his hands were too calloused, his manners too charming and honeyed, his voice too rough and enamored to be the ones of a simple bourgeois. You knew, and yet you forgot everything as soon as he came to you, each and every night, after each and every performance, to give you just a glimpse of that feather-light touch. You knew, and yet you forgot everything when all your surroundings blurred and your dizzy head bent entirely to his will. And each and every time he loved you more, and each and every time you desperately burned to know where he disappeared to after he kissed you on the forehead and bid you goodbye.

So you followed him. One night, after his usual visit, you waited to be sure that he had left for good, and got on his trail, clutching in your clammy hand the pearl necklace he had just gifted you. You followed him out of the nicer parts of Saint Denis, and when he got on his horse, you doubled your speed; you followed him through the dirt of the suburbs, the area you were strictly prohibited from entering with your nice shoes and long dresses; then he picked up speed again, and you silently crept at the back of a carriage that went in the same direction as he did. When he took a turn and vanished between the trees near Rhodes, you jumped from the wagon and followed without fear. What you discovered was a beaten down mansion, a campfire, the smell of horse crap, cheap beer, and camaraderie. What you discovered were the outraged cries of the Van der Linde gang at the presence of yet another of Dutch’s flames.

Most of them expected Dutch to get angry at you for following him and repudiate you. But that was without considering the possibility that Dutch could be veritably smitten with you, and that he was. From the moment you stepped foot at Shady Belle, he took you under his wing and forbade anyone from picking fights with you. That was when, much to everyone’s surprise - especially Hosea’s, who knew Dutch better than anyone -, Dutch seemed to alight anew, and the gang of grumpy rogues, your new family, discovered the tenderness their leader harbored when he was truly in love.

They also discovered you and gained a strong and loyal ally in the process. Defiance was difficult to overcome at first. You’d get obvious glances from all sides of camp. Micah was the most difficult to handle. You gave up trying to make him understand that you were a performer, an artist, and not a prostitute. After a certain time, and following the other girls’ advice, you ignored him. Instead, you spent your evenings strumming on Javier’s guitar and singing some sweet melodies from your childhood. Dutch would get most tender with you in these moments. The big, bad outlaw, so terrifying and ruthless, was the first man you shared a slow dance with, the first man to devour your pretty face with captivated eyes.

You were the voice of reason in Dutch’s wanderings when the walls of justice and insanity start to cave in around him. You are the light that counters Micah’s enticing threats. You are one last breath of life, one last chance at survival, that allows the Van der Linde gang - the Van der Linde family - not to explode. As you promised yourself, you did everything for your family, and your family recognizes you as the safety pin holding them together in the last years and rising conflict. And Dutch, although he’d never dare to tell you, loves you even more for that - for uniting his brothers and sisters, his sons and daughters; for succeeding where he failed.
